Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 19

I've got a confession to make here - I missed posting yesterday.

But that's OK. I'll post twice today (20th July) to make up for it.

The aim of the Ultimate Blog Challenge is to post 31 times in the month of July.

It doesn't matter if I miss a couple of days as long as I catch up. Of course, the more I miss, the harder it becomes to meet the target.

That little bit of flexibility with this challenge is a huge plus. After all, things happen around us that we can't dictate. Yesterday I had to finish my Mallard Hoodie project as far as possible as I won't have access to my sewing machine for a few days.

Hoodie designed to resemble a Mallard duck with brown chest, grey sleeves, green satin hood lined with blue and with a yellow duck bill.

I still need to make and add two duckling motifs and hand-stitch the lining to the neck seam. I've already been asked to make a second one for my youngest grandson, who'll be three in September.

Once I'd finished working on the hoodie, I then had a two-and-a-half-hour drive, by which point I was ready for a cuppa and bed.

Today I have nothing on my schedule until I finish my blog posts.

So cute!

I'm in Oregon, and one of our colleges has a duck for the team mascot (Green and yellow colors - and we do have mallards!)
